I’m a scientist with interests in using microalgae and genetic engineering techniques to address challenges in sustainability and solutions to climate change. I’ve developed genetic tools for cyanobacteria, explored how microalgae might be used for bioregenerative life support on the International Space Station, and developed engineered living materials out of hydrogels and cyanobacteria.
